Creativity driven
technology

Making music is fun and recording should be too but often music makers are frustrated by overly complex tech or disappointing results. Audient gets it, we’ve been there and we pay close attention to it.
At Audient, they believe that quality begins with the first steps of design, a philosophy started by their founders and which continues to shape the way they approach products to this day.

Since I founded Orange back in 1968, I have always believed that no other company could have cared more than us about innovation in guitar valve amplifier design and sound technology. Our latest amplifier designs still reflect this approach, and I am especially pleased with recent innovations made by Orange in the field of transformer design. To reach these achievements, we spent years studying, experimenting and testing in order to improve on the best. However, it’s not just about transformers, valves and circuit design. It’s about how the sound is perceived – something that I have always thought of as ‘the sound of the sound‘… it’s about the physical pleasure that the sound of an amp gives a guitarist as he plays. That is what really matters. The ‘Orange Sound‘ didn’t just happen, it has taken many years to perfect and fine tune. In the same way that guitarists – no matter how good they may be – can always learn new skills and improve, we will also continue with our search for perfection.

Founded by percussionist, educator and businessman Vic Firth, The Vic Firth Company has been setting the standard in the industry since its inception in 1963. Vic’s knowledge of how to incorporate new ideas was unsurpassed. In fact, many of the key manufacturing processes used today were invented or standardized by Vic. Today, we proudly carry that tradition forward.
Never satisfied with the status quo, we continue to innovate, developing new imaginative designs and technologies so that every product we make sounds better, feels better and inspires you to play your best.
I’ve surrounded myself with the best of the best. Each member of this family has an unbelievable passion for what they do and a level of expertise which is unsurpassed in the industry. I couldn’t be more excited about our future.
– Everett “Vic” Firth

In 1623, Avedis was granted permission to leave the palace in order to start his own business in a suburb of Constantinople named Psamatia. That same business is now nearly four centuries old and has been passed down to Zildjian heirs for fifteen generations. Relocating to America in 1929, Avedis III moved the Zildjian factory to Quincy, MA and then to its current location in Norwell, MA for Zildjian's 350th Anniversary. The business passed to Avedis' son, Armand in 1977 and then to Armand's daughter, Craigie, in 1999. Currently, Craigie and her sister Debbie continue the family tradition in what is recognized as the oldest family-owned business in America.
